California: Meta’s instant messaging platform WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to add profile photos created by artificial intelligence.
According to WhatsApp Beta Info, the company has introduced this new feature for testing in Android Beta version 2.24.11.17 of the app. This feature will be useful for people who avoid using their picture in profile picture.
According to the report, users will be able to access this feature by clicking the edit icon in the profile picture settings. However, WhatsApp will probably set a dedicated tab for this feature.
The AI-powered profile picture generator will create text-based images that reflect the user’s mood, personality or trend.
According to WhatsApp beta info, this feature is likely to use the same language model that was recently used for the Meta AI search bar.
This feature is currently in testing stages and no final release date has been announced at this time.
