A truck in Syria was destroyed in a powerful explosion while it was carrying 30 farmers to a village.
According to the International News Agency, dozens of farmers were being taken to the village in an open truck from the Syrian city of Manbij after completing work in the fields.
Meanwhile, a car chased the truck and exploded when it reached close. The truck and the car were completely destroyed in the explosion.
More than 30 people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries during the rescue operations, where 15 farmers were confirmed dead, including 14 women.
The only man killed in the explosion was the truck driver, while all the injured were women. The death toll is expected to rise as four of the injured are in critical condition.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but the incident took place near the Turkish border and Kurdish rebels may be involved.
