Aimal Wali Khan said that in the province where there are a lot of IPPs, bills are being reduced for the sake of vote bank. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, even one megawatt of electricity is not being generated from IPPs, why should we bear their burden?
He further said that it is the province’s right to determine the electricity prices in Pakhtunkhwa based on the cost of production. The federal government should take emergency measures to pay the arrears of Pakhtunkhwa in terms of electricity and gas.
