Islamabad: Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial has said that the reduction in taxes will come only from improving the tax-GDP ratio, for this there is a need to increase the tax base.
In an interview with a private TV, he said that there is a general perception that the benefits of growth do not reach the common man, this feeling is also present at the government level, but it has to be seen what pace should be maintained while moving towards growth.
Our tragedy is that those who should pay taxes do not do so, we have not even been able to create the capacity in the FBR to collect taxes from them, so we have gone on the wrong side.
