Islamabad: During the first 4 months of the current financial year, the trade deficit of the country was recorded at 6.974 billion dollars with a decrease of 6% on annual basis.
During the same period of the last financial year, the trade deficit was 7.387 billion dollars. During the first four months of the financial year, domestic exports increased by 13 percent on annual basis, while imports increased by 5 percent. In October, exports reached 2.975 billion dollars.
According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics of Pakistan, the volume of trade deficit was recorded at 1.498 billion dollars in October 2024, which is 18% less than September and 31% less than October last year. In the first four months of the financial year, the volume of domestic exports was 10.880 billion dollars.
