ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has sent an advice to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari for ratification after the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment by the Parliament.
After the amendment was approved by the Parliament, the Prime Minister signed the advice to be sent to the President of Pakistan for ratification of the constitutional amendment.
The 26th constitutional amendment will become part of the official constitution after the signature of President Asif Ali Zardari.
It should be noted that a special ceremony will be held today to sign the bill in the President’s House, in which Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and important parliamentary leaders of other parties will participate.
The twenty-sixth constitutional amendment has been passed by the Senate with the support of 65 members by a two-thirds majority.
