ISLAMABAD: Senior actress Shahnaz Sheikh says that I am thankful that there was no social media in our time.
Shahnaz Sheikh, a popular artist of Pakistani dramas, said in an interview to the British Broadcasting Corporation that today’s people cannot even imagine the open life we lived. Thank goodness our time didn’t have social media. This eliminates privacy but provides a lot of information. I enjoy using social media, I can’t live without it.
Shahnaz Sheikh further said that I used to get 800 rupees for an episode of the hit drama serial “Un Kahi” and it was the highest salary of that time. After “Unkahi” became a hit, the remuneration in “Isolations” was increased to Rs 1,000 per episode. We had to bear the clothes, make-up and other expenses ourselves.
The senior actress said that nowadays dramas show crying and conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. This is because people want to see crying.
