KABUL: The Afghan Ministry of Defense has announced that Milan Koncursi (9M135) guided missiles have been filed for the first time in the country.
According to a report by Tolo News, Afghan Ministry of Defense spokesman Inayatullah Khawarizmi said that these guided missiles can target armored tanks, warships and low-flying helicopters.
He said that 13 people have completed training to operate these missiles. 13 youths have completed a professional and practical training course for Milan Koncursi guided missiles under the Artillery Directorate of the General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense in a month.
He said that these guided missiles have been activated for the first time in the country’s history, which can target armored tanks and low-flying helicopters.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to equip the Islamic Emirate’s army with modern weapons during a program in Kabul.
The Ministry of Defense had previously said that in cooperation with the Directorate of Intelligence and the Ministry of Interior, it had finalized the security plan for next year and to ensure the security of the people across the country.
