Sialkot: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the decision given by the Supreme Court is not constitutional but political.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif while addressing a press conference in Sialkot said that the interpretation of the law is the work of the Supreme Court. But clarifying or amending the law is the function of Parliament.
He said that the decision in the case of reserved seats did not interpret the law but re-wrote the constitution. Yesterday’s decision is a personal opinion, this decision is not constitutional but political.
Khawaja Asif said that whether to appeal the decision or not will be decided on Monday. Pakistan’s court is ranked 134th in the world. There are millions of cases in the courts, which the judiciary has no eye on. Millions of people went to the gallows yearning for justice. But the judges had no time for them.
He said that seats were given in the cradle of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). She did not go to ask the court. The decision of the Supreme Court has raised many attentions. The decision is not clear but ambiguous.
The Defense Minister said that till yesterday, those who took oath in the name of Sunni Alliance in Parliament. They had submitted their declaration forms and affidavits, now how and from what mouth will they again say that they are Tehreek-e-Insaaf members.
He said that the bat symbol was therefore withdrawn by the Election Commission. That Tehreek-e-Insaf could not conduct party elections according to its manifesto. The Constitution has been violated due to the decision of the Supreme Court. Courts have started making political decisions instead of making legal decisions.
