Karachi (Staff Reporter) Students of Pakistan Naval Engineering College designed Pakistan’s first electric car for civilian use.
A team consisting of students of Pakistan Naval Engineering College, Karachi, during a creative journey that started in 2009, developed Pakistan’s first urban electrical vehicle in line with contemporary requirements, which was unveiled at a local hotel.
MD, Pakistan Navy Dockyard Mazhar Mahmood Malik was the chief guest of the event. This is the 17th car built by a team comprising students of Pakistan Naval Engineering College.
A step ahead of the current electric vehicles, this motor car can cover a distance of 200 km continuously after charging for a short time. has also been used, while special tires have also been installed for the smooth movement of this vehicle.
The Chief Guest of the event, Dockyard Managing Director Rear Admiral Mazhar Mahmood Malik said while talking to the media that we have provided a platform for children, where they can openly show their creativity, these children are definitely not developing these cars on commercial basis.
He said that the main and basic purpose of this is that through it the children can connect in a group form, in which they can not only exchange new ideas with each other to express any technical skills, but also during the preparation of the project they can It can find ways to solve other complications including the issues of expenditure.
According to Rahm Khalil, the leader of the electric car manufacturing team, they have previously produced other types of cars apart from single-seater racing cars, which have been well received in different countries of the world, while one car has been declared as the winner in the Philippines compared to other countries.
He says that innumerable parts are used in the preparation of a complete work, in the preparation of which all the students actively participated. At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were also distributed among the students who made the work.
