Islamabad: More than 1075 billion rupees shortfall has been revealed in electricity purchase and sale.
According to the report, this fiscal year, 275 billion rupees will be collected from consumers through rebasing, an additional subsidy of 228 billion rupees will be provided to reduce the revolving debt.
Losses of power distribution companies reached 18.3 percent against Nepra’s target of 11.4 percent. Timely assurance of rebasing from the IMF and a plan to control revolving loans will be discussed.
