Moscow: An astronaut from Russia has set a record for spending the most days in space.
According to media reports, Oleg Kononenko set a world record when he became the first person to spend a total of 1000 days in space.
The Russian space agency Roscosmos issued a statement in which it said that cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, who is currently working on the International Space Station, has completed 1,000 days of space flight for the first time in the world. A record has been made.
Oleg has been on 5 different missions, including 3 as commander to the International Space Station. Former medical officer of NASA, Emmanuel Arroquita, said that such a record can only be set by a special kind of person.
