Moscow: Russia and China have signed an agreement to build an international station on the moon.
According to media reports, the agreement was signed between Russia’s State Corporation for Space Activities Roscosmos and the Chinese National Space Administration.
The purpose of the agreement is to provide an organizational and legal basis for mutual cooperation between the parties in specific areas for the creation of an international scientific station on the Moon.
The intergovernmental agreement is for a period of 20 years with subsequent renewals for further periods of 5 years unless either party terminates the agreement at least one year before the expiry of the initial period.
