Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to boycott the election of Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate.
According to the sources, PTI’s political committee and core committee have decided to challenge the election of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Senate as unconstitutional.
According to PTI Core Committee sources, the House of Federation is incomplete and the election of Senate Chairman without electing senators in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also against the constitutional scheme. The upper house is limited to one department only. For the first time in the democratic era, the Senate has become inactive.
