Guwahati: In the Indian state of Assam, the police ended the brutality by firing indiscriminately.
According to Indian media, a protest against the anti-Muslim policies of Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party was going on in Guwahati, Assam.
The Modi government wants to evict Bengalis who have been living in Assam for years as residents of Bangladesh under the guise of a controversial new citizenship registration policy.
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has been doing such heinous acts to reduce the Muslim population and prove the Hindu majority in several states including Assam.
The police fired indiscriminately on the protesters protesting against the Modi government for their constitutional right, in which 19-year-old Zubair Ali and 22-year-old Haider Ali were martyred.
11 people were also injured in the firing by the Indian police, who were shifted to a nearby hospital, where the death toll is expected to increase due to the critical condition of 4 injured.
Muslim parties strongly condemned the brutality of the Indian police saying that first they were displaced and then 2 displaced villagers were killed on protest. This is an inhuman act.
It should be remembered that in September 2021, 2 Bengali Muslims were martyred in police firing during the eviction campaign of Muslims from their homes in the northern Durang district of the state of Assam.
Even after this incident, Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party did not stop from its aggressive ambitions and continues to evict Muslims from their homes.
