Islamabad: The government has issued a notification to postpone the meeting of the Central Selection Board for the promotion of officers in Grade 20 and 21, which was scheduled to be held from December 23 to 27, until further notice.
The meeting scheduled in November last month was also postponed, the last meeting of the Central Selection Board was held in August 2023.
The Prime Minister had approved the reconstitution of the Central Selection Board yesterday, due to the lack of a board meeting, the promotion of over 400 officers has been pending for a year and 4 months.
According to the rules, the meeting of the Central Selection Board should be held twice a year.
