ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of wheat importation and ordered an investigation.
Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the import of 691 thousand metric tons of wheat during the first month of the current government and ordered an investigation on the continuation of the import of wheat after February 2024.
The Prime Minister directed the determination of those responsible for the continuation of wheat import and opening of LCs and ordered the committee headed by Secretary Cabinet Division to investigate in 4 days.
The committee will determine those responsible for continuing to import wheat despite the availability of ample stocks.
