Karachi:Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying the Prime Minister. Shehbaz Sharif will represent Pakistan at the One Water Summit held in Riyadh on the protection of clean water and water resources.
The One Water Summit, jointly organized by Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan and the World Bank, aims to ensure better management and protection of water resources through international cooperation and high-level political commitment at the global level.
During the summit, the Prime Minister will address the restoration, protection and innovation of clean water resources in which he will highlight the steps taken by the government to protect water resources, prepare for climate change, improve the quality of drinking water, provide employment and protect aquatic life.
The Prime Minister will also highlight the importance of international cooperation to address the impacts of climate change on water resources and aquatic life, including floods, erratic weather patterns, and rising temperatures.
The Prime Minister will also call on the world to take steps for sustainable and better management of water resources. The Prime Minister is also expected to meet world leaders participating in the summit.
