ISLAMABAD: After a slight increase in the country for a week, the weekly inflation rate has started to decrease again. In the recent week, a decrease of 0.52 percent was recorded in the inflation rate, while on an annual basis, the inflation rate also decreased to 12.72. The percentage has come to light.
According to the weekly report of inflation issued by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the prices of 17 essential items of daily use increased and the prices of 15 essential items decreased, while the prices of 19 items remained stable.
According to the report, the prices of onion, tomato, sugar, potato, cooking oil and other commodities decreased during the recent week, while dal, mung, lentils, mash, LPG, cigarettes also became expensive.
According to statistics, on annual basis, prices of onion increased by 74%, gram dal by 57%, dry milk by 256%, beef by 25%, tomato by 18% and lentil by 16% while gas charges also increased by 570%. Similarly, compared to last year, wheat flour has become cheaper by 38%, red pepper and rice by 10%, petrol by 25%, diesel by 24%.
According to the data, the inflation rate for the income group up to 17 thousand 732 rupees per month on an annual basis in terms of price sensitive index decreased by 0.42 percent to 9.14 percent, and from 17 thousand 733 rupees to 22 thousand 888 rupees per month. The rate of inflation for the income class was 13.14% with a decrease of 0.45%.
The rate of inflation for the group having income from 22 thousand 889 to 29 thousand 517 rupees per month has decreased by 0.44% to 16.09% and for the group having income from 29 thousand 518 to 44 thousand 175 rupees per month, the rate of inflation has decreased by 0.48%. It was 13.04 percent.
Similarly, the rate of inflation was 11.02% with a decrease of 0.58% for the group having an income of more than 44 thousand 176 rupees per month.
