Islamabad: The 23rd summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization will begin today in Islamabad.
Pakistan has completed all preparations for the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the conference among the member countries will be held today at the Islamabad Convention Center while the organization’s summit will be held on October 16.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will preside over the meeting. And will deliver the opening address, the Prime Ministers of China, Russia, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, while the Prime Ministers of seven countries including the Indian Foreign Minister will participate in the conference.
The Chinese Prime Minister has reached Islamabad while the heads of other countries will reach Islamabad in the late night and early morning hours.
To attend the meeting, the Russian Prime Minister will reach Pakistan on the night of October 15 and will participate in the conference on October 16.
The Prime Ministers of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan will participate in the conference, while the Prime Minister of Mongolia will participate as an observer.
In addition to the performance of the organization, the summit will also review the further development of cooperation and mutual relations among the member countries of the organization.
The member states of the conference will be represented by the prime ministers of China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, while the first vice president of Iran and the foreign minister of India will also attend the meeting.
Prime Minister of Mongolia and Deputy Chairman of Cabinet and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan as observer states will participate as special guests. The arrival of foreign delegations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting in Islamabad has started.
On the occasion of the 2-day summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Islamabad has been beautifully decorated, electric heaters and screens have been installed on all the routes of movement of the guests, while the red zone has been completely sealed and 10,000 More than 100,000 police personnel are deployed in Islamabad, while the security of the red zone is under the control of the army.
