Rawalpindi: Due to Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in, court proceedings were affected due to police deployment on extra duty.
The accused could not be produced in the courts from Adiala Jail as the police were deployed due to Jamaat-e-Islami’s protest sit-in. The sessions civil courts adjourned the hearing of the cases due to the absence of the accused.
In the report presented in the court, it is stated that the duty of the police guards who brought the accused from the jail to the court has been assigned to the Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in, due to which the accused could not be presented in the court.
