Peshawar: Chief Justice Peshawar High Court has ordered reopening of closed courts in South Waziristan and Tank.
The Registrar Office of Peshawar High Court has issued a notification to reopen closed courts in South Waziristan and Tank following the order of the Chief Justice.
The High Court’s announcement said that the District and Sessions Judges and Senior Civil Judges of South Waziristan and Tank should resume judicial work in their respective districts. Judicial work should be restored after providing security to judges, courts and judges’ homes.
It should be noted that due to the poor law and order situation, courts were closed in South Waziristan and Tank on October 2, 2024, after which these courts were shifted to DI Khan and the judges of South Waziristan and Tank were working in DI Khan.
The Peshawar High Court has issued instructions to the judges of South Waziristan and Tank to resume judicial work in their respective districts.
