KABUL: Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has demanded from Pakistan that if there is evidence of terrorism from Afghan soil, they should give it to us, we will take action against them ourselves.
Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid made this demand in an interview to the YouTube channel ‘The Khorasan Diaries’. The Taliban spokesperson further said that if Pakistan attacked Afghanistan instead of providing evidence, it would be considered aggression.
Spokesman Taliban further said that the problem of Pakistan has been going on since 2001. The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban was already present in Pakistan and there was already insecurity there (Pakistan) which is still going on.
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid also emphasized that peace in Pakistan is very important for us. Pakistan has repeatedly assured its support. If there are any concerns, Pakistan should talk to us.
The Taliban spokesperson added that we have seen war for years and we do not want this to happen in any other country. Afghan land will not be used against any country.
The Taliban spokesperson demanded that if Pakistan has evidence of using Afghan soil for terrorism, we will take action. However, if Pakistan attacks on its own, it will be considered as aggression.
Zabihullah Mujahid also said that Pakistan should solve its own internal problems. The responsibility of insecurity in Pakistan cannot be put on Afghanistan in any way.
