A revolution has come to modernize agriculture in Punjab, a plan has been started to provide all agricultural facilities to farmers under one roof, an inauguration ceremony of the projects was held in the areas of Kundai and Shapo at the launch of the ‘Green Pakistan’ project in Cholistan.
Green Mall and Service Company, Smart Agri Farm, Agricultural Research and Facilitation Center were also inaugurated, Army Chief General Asim Munir and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also specially attended the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Army Chief General Asim Munir said that Punjab has become the agricultural powerhouse of Pakistan, the leading role of the province of Punjab and its farmers in modern agriculture is commendable.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir appreciated the efforts and achievements achieved in a short period of time under the Green Corporate Project of the Punjab government.
The general said that these achievements in a short time under the Green Corporate project are encouraging and a sign of progress, the army will continue to fully support the country’s economic development process.
The project to modernize agriculture launched in Punjab will provide all agricultural facilities to farmers under one roof, and agricultural machinery including drones will be available to farmers on concessional rent.
Apart from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Water Resources Dr. Mosaddiq Malik also attended the ceremony.
Punjab’s Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Agriculture Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, Minister for Irrigation Muhammad Kazim Pirzada, and the relevant federal and provincial secretaries were also present.
Green Agri-Mall and Services Service Company will provide quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides to farmers at their doorsteps at subsidized prices.
Farmers will get all the facilities related to agriculture under one roof, through one company.
A modern agricultural farm covering 5,000 acres has also been launched. This farm will become an example of modern agriculture. Modern agricultural methods and modern irrigation systems will be used. Less water consumption and cost will be used. More production will be achieved. All goods and facilities related to the agricultural sector will be available in the Agricultural Research and Facilitation Center.
Under the project, all laboratory services related to research, including soil testing, will also be provided. This institution will be in touch with all stakeholders across the country involved in agricultural education and research.
Addressing the ceremony, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the foundation of a modern agricultural revolution has been laid in Cholistan and Punjab. Today, the launch of these projects is the beginning of a new journey for the development of Punjab’s farmers. The development of agriculture is the guarantee of the development of farmers and the prosperity of Pakistan.
Maryam Nawaz said that Green Pakistan is a revolution for the promotion of modern agriculture. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also gave letters of land allotment to the children of martyrs and injured ghazis.
