Tokyo: The Pakistani Embassy in Japan organized a grand festival to showcase Pakistani mangoes.
Organized in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, MG Agri-Foods and Vision Trading, Japanese dignitaries including diplomats, business leaders, agriculturists and leading trade organizations of Japan were invited to the event.
The participants appreciated the high quality of Pakistani mangoes and enjoyed the taste of food, sweets and drinks made from Pakistani mangoes.
Over the years, Pakistan, which is known for producing more than 400 varieties of mangoes, has established itself as one of the leading mango exporters worldwide.
The Japanese market has seen a significant increase in demand, especially for Pakistani mangoes due to their high quality, rich flavor and long shelf life.
In 2023, Pakistani mangoes worth ¥87 million were exported to Japan. Events like the Mango Festival help promote Pakistan’s exports and promote cultural diplomacy.
Speaking during the festival, the Pakistani ambassador expressed his pride in the quality of Pakistani mangoes, which have become the identity of Pakistan at the global level.
