Geneva: There is no link between mobile phone use and an increased risk of brain cancer, according to a new review by the World Health Organization (WHO).
A recently published report suggests that despite the huge increase in the use of wireless technology, there has not been a corresponding increase in the incidence of brain cancer.
This also applies to people who make long phone calls or who have been using mobile phones for more than a decade, said 11 researchers from 10 countries.
Sixty-three studies from 1994 to 2022 were included in the final analysis.
Mark Elwood, a professor of cancer epidemiology at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, said the aforementioned study examined the effects of radio frequencies used in mobile phones as well as TVs, baby monitors and radar.
