KARACHI: Security measures are in progress for the procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain in Shahr-e-Quaid.
Shops and markets in MA Jinnah Road, Sadar, Empress Market, Tower Sadar and Kharadar have been sealed for the security of the procession.
All the streets of the procession routes have been cordoned off with containers, the traditional procession routes are being closely monitored by police and rangers.
Additional IG Karachi said that foolproof security arrangements have been made for the procession, additional CCTV cameras have also been installed to monitor the procession.
He further said that more than 5,000 police officers and personnel will be on duty for the security of the procession, aerial surveillance of the procession will also be done, Rangers have also been deployed for the security of the procession.
