Islamabad: As part of security measures during Muharram, the district administration has banned 27 scholars of different schools of thought.
According to sources, the administration has banned clerics from giving sermons and speeches during Muharram in Islamabad, including Maulana Abdul Aziz, Maulana Abdul Razzaq, Qari Waseem Abbasi and Rizwan Safi.
Apart from this, Allama Shafa Najafi, Allama Tahir Ashraf, Maulana Muhammad Ilyas, Abdul Khaliq have also been banned.
The Islamabad administration has banned a total of 27 scholars of different schools of thought. This ban has been imposed by the administration on the recommendation of the Islamabad Police.
