New data released by experts has revealed such weak and commonly used passwords that can be easily hacked.
According to Forbes, a software company called AnyIP has found in a study that ‘password’ is the most common password used worldwide.
According to the researchers, ‘password’ is the third most common in the United States, while this password was found to be the top one in Australia and the United Kingdom.
The report said that after this password, the most common passwords were found to be ‘qwerty123’, ‘qwerty1’ and ‘123456’. The latter password was found to be more common due to its ease of remembering.
For the research, experts used the results and data of the NordPass research and examined the use of specific passwords when hacking.
The researchers said that around 50 percent of passwords worldwide consist of simple patterns of letters and numbers.
According to NordPass’ list of the 200 weakest passwords worldwide, ‘123456’ was used more than 3 million times.
