Florida: An American company has created an aluminum can that can be resealed to reduce plastic pollution.
According to the Florida-based company CanoVation’s website, this surprisingly simple but revolutionary innovation will be effective not only in the beverage sector, but also in medicine storage, food packaging, household items and more.
Resealable aluminum cans require a threading technique, according to Daniel Zibalta, the company’s design and invention engineer.
“We’ve just come up with a way to add threads to the outer edges of traditional cans,” Daniel said. This will allow users to screw on the lid after filling the can.
Moreover, its production cost is lower than conventional methods, so ultimately the cost can be passed on to the buyers.
The invention comes at a time when the beverage industry is rethinking the way it packages its products as consumers become increasingly aware of plastic pollution.
