Islamabad: The finance ministry has submitted the details of the national debt increase in the last 3 years to the Senate.
According to the written answer, the national debt increased by 31.5 trillion in the last 3 years.
9.4 trillion rupees in the year 2021-22, 13.7 trillion rupees in the year 2022-23 and 8.4 trillion rupees in the year 2023-24.
The Ministry of Finance also submitted the details of new taxpayers in the Senate according to which 35 lakh taxpayers have been registered in 2023 across the country.
