Washington: The United States has warned that if Iran attacks Israel, there will be serious consequences.
According to foreign media, an American official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that if Iran attacks Israel, the ongoing negotiation process for a cease-fire in Gaza will be affected and Iran will have to suffer the serious consequences of the attack. America, Britain and France are preparing countermeasures for all kinds of situations. If Iran attacks Israel, they will do everything to defend Israel.
The American official further said that the attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023 was Iran’s proxy war and in case of Iran’s attack on Israel, this proxy war will intensify. It is customary for US officials to disclose government policies, decisions and actions unofficially, on the condition of anonymity.
Iran announced retaliation after the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July.
