Lahore: ICC’s double standard has come to light regarding T20 leagues.
ICC’s double standard for T20 leagues has come to light as the formula of keeping a special window available for IPL will not apply to franchise events in other countries.
It was suggested by New Zealand Cricket that in view of IPL, international events are not scheduled during this time, if a window is allocated for T20 leagues of other countries, the availability of cricketers will be easier, along with international competitions. Its attractiveness will also remain.
The BCCI-influenced ICC board showed a cold heart to this proposal and rejected it in sign language.
