A 7-member committee has been constituted for the economic development plan based on self-reliance in the country.
The notification of the committee formed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been issued, according to which Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has been appointed as the chairman of the 7-member committee.

Collected facts and shared them with the professor to create a consensus document.
Sources said that the contents of the economic plan will be presented to a large group of stakeholders after Independence Day.
It was further stated that the main focus of the document is economic liberalisation, elimination of government involvement in subsidizing any sector and exposure of local producers to global competition, no restriction on imports to manage current account deficit. There will be no, instead the focus will be on increasing exports from the country.
