Despite being elected as the ICC chairman, Jay Shah has no intention of leaving the seat of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) secretary.
According to media reports, the Board of India (BCCI) Apex Council meeting is scheduled today, in which various issues related to the board’s operations will be reviewed.
The important board meeting did not include the appointment of a new board secretary, which is surprising as the ICC chairman is supposed to be neutral, but Jay Shah will be unable to do so with India’s representation.
Jay Shah is supposed to take over the post of ICC Chairman from December 1, however media reports are claiming that he wants to continue as secretary in BCCI till the end of November.
