Hizbollah’s leadership, through mutual consultation and consensus, chose Naeem Qasim, the current deputy secretary general and interim head, to replace Hassan Nasrallah as the new head of the organization.
According to the international news agency, the statement issued by Hezbollah said that Naeem Qasim was appointed to this position because of his long service in the organization, adherence to principles and goals.
The statement added that with the leadership of Naeem Qasim and the guidance of Allah, Hezbollah will achieve its goals and defeat the Dajjal forces.
It should be noted that 71-year-old Naeem Qasim was considered the most important leader in Hezbollah since Hassan Nasrallah and was known as “Number Two”.
Naeem Qasim also holds the distinction of being one of the religious scholars who founded Hezbollah in the early 1980s and is also one of the most active leaders at the public level.
After Hassan Nasrullah’s martyrdom, Naeem Qasim was appointed as the interim head until the final name was chosen, when Hashim Safiuddin was being named as his successor.
However, the Israeli army martyred Hashim Safiuddin in an airstrike before getting the leadership of Hezbollah. Naeem Qasim also received threats due to which he moved to Iran.
