CALIFORNIA: Technology giant Tesla and social media platform X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk are planning to build the world’s most powerful artificial intelligence supercomputer to run its controversial A chatbot Grok.
According to sources, Elon Musk plans to buy 100,000 Nvidia semiconductor chips for this purpose.
Elon Musk’s plan for AI startup XAI was presented to the company’s investors.
Built using Nvidia’s flagship H100 graphics processing units (GPUs), the machine will be at least four times larger than existing GPU clusters.
In a blog post, XAI said the startup’s core focus is to build advanced AI systems to benefit humanity.
