NEW YORK: Elon Musk, advisor to newly elected US President Donald Trump, has met with Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani.
US media confirmed the meeting and said that there was a discussion between the figures of the two countries about ending tensions.
The meeting between Elon Musk and Amir Saeed Iravani lasted an hour, which took place at a secret location that was not even known to the Biden administration, while the Iranian mission to the United Nations has denied the meeting.
Donald Trump’s communications director Steven Sheing says that he will not comment on a private meeting that may not have taken place.
It should be noted that Donald Trump imposed more sanctions on Iran during his first term.
