Dubai: The United Arab Emirates has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) system ‘Salamah’ to make visa renewal and other residency services faster and easier.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai announced that this modern platform will allow users to renew visas, make payments, and complete other residency matters in a matter of seconds.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri said that the purpose of digital transformation is not only to provide services but also to improve government efficiency and provide convenience to users.
According to Colonel Khalid bin Madia Al Falasi, ‘Salamah’ processes visa applications in a matter of seconds through modern algorithms.
The system supports more than 40 languages and more languages will be added in the future.
After logging in with UAE Pass, the system automatically identifies the user’s details, displays documents, and facilitates instant renewal.
Any individual demonstrated the speed of the new service by completing a visa renewal in a matter of seconds.
The system will also provide services for companies in the future, further boosting Dubai’s digital transformation strategy.
