Atlanta: As a result of shooting at a high school in the US state of Georgia, a 14-year-old student killed two of his fellow students and two teachers and injured nine others.
At a press conference, investigators said four people were killed and nine people were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Two teachers are involved.
The suspect, identified as 14-year-old Colt Gray, a student at the school, will be charged and tried as an adult, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said. .
Director Chris Hussey declined to say what motivated the shooting, nor did he say what type of gun was used in the shooting.
According to police, the assailant was confronted by a deputy at the school, after which the student threw himself down and surrendered.
The incident happened at the school about 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Atlanta.
It should be noted that this year, 28 shooting incidents have already taken place in the United States in which 127 people have been killed, while 217 people lost their lives in 42 incidents last year.
