Peshawar: Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur has decided to solarize religious schools.
A meeting of the Department of Energy and Power was held at the Chief Minister’s House under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
The Chief Minister decided to include the religious madrasas in the solarization project of mosques and places of worship and directed the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to include the religious madrasas of Arzali and adjoining districts in the solarization project.
The Chief Minister said that 1,000 to 1,500 registered religious madrassas across the province should be included in the project, and the involvement of madrassas from all districts should be ensured in this project. Madrasas must be provided with solar energy.
The concerned authorities briefed the participants on the department’s development plans, administrative and financial matters and other issues. The chief minister directed that the appointment of the chief executive officer and members of the executive committee of Gakka Pedu should be implemented as soon as possible.
He said that the completion of ongoing hydropower projects should be ensured within the stipulated period, fines should be imposed on the contractors who do not complete the projects within the stipulated period, priorities should be determined for the early completion of the development projects. First priority should be given to the completion of projects that are a source of income.
