The Chief Justice ordered the reconstitution of the committee working under the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Muneeb Akhtar will be the members of the committee.
After taking the oath, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi has taken over the Chief Justice’s chamber. He was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at the Supreme Court, Registrar Supreme Court Jazeela Saleem presented a bouquet to the Chief Justice.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the newly elected Chief Justice Yahya Faridi.
In the meeting, the two leaders congratulated Chief Justice Yahya Faridi on taking oath. President Malikat and the Prime Minister also expressed their best wishes for the Chief Justice.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the experience of the Chief Justice will be effective in strengthening the rule of law. He is sure that the judiciary will continue to work with integrity under the leadership of the Chief Justice.
