Islamabad: Cells have been established at federal, provincial and district levels for the security of foreign citizens.
A comprehensive security framework has been prepared for the security of foreign citizens, in this regard, according to the document, separate foreign security cells have been established at federal, provincial and district levels.
According to the document, under the security framework, a foreign national security cell has been established at the federal level, which will work under the Ministry of Interior. Similarly, provincial foreign security cells will perform their responsibilities at the provincial level.
Security cells have also been established in Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. District Foreigners Security Cells will ensure the security of foreigners for security arrangements at the local level.
Police, SPU and SSU will perform security responsibilities for the security of foreign citizens.
In addition, the armed forces can be called for the security of foreign dignitaries. Government agencies sponsoring foreigners will nominate focal persons for security arrangements.
In addition, the Department of Tourism will be responsible for security arrangements for tourists and foreign journalists. The Department of Tourism will oversee the security of foreign diplomats, tourists, journalists, students, athletes and religious pilgrims.
