Senior Indian actor Mithan Chakraborty also demanded justice for the woman doctor who was murdered after being brutally raped in Kolkata.
According to Indian media, Mithan Chakraborty while talking to the media in Bengali language said that I have said many times in many places that the situation in West Bengal will get worse and worse in the coming days.
Mithan Chakraborty expressed grief over the Kolkata rape case and said that after this horrific incident, I cannot walk with my head held high as a Bengali.
The senior actor said that my heartfelt condolences to the family of the woman doctor who was victim of this terrible incident, while I demand that those involved in this incident be punished as soon as possible.
He further said that increasing cases of rape in Bengal are a question mark on law and order in the state.
It should be noted that on August 9, a 31-year-old doctor was found dead in a pool of blood in a medical college in the city of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. After working for about 20 hours, she went to the seminar hall of the college for some rest.
However, the next day, the half-naked body of the female doctor was found in the seminar hall. According to the post-mortem report, the female doctor was brutally raped by more than one man and then strangled to death.
Kolkata Police has arrested a police officer in the rape case of a woman doctor and held him responsible for the incident, who was deployed to hospitalize and provide medical aid to police officers and their families.
