Karachi: The issue of non-payment of compensation began to surface at the beginning of the 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League.
Darbar Rajshahi captain Anam-ul-Haq Bajoy revealed that the players have not yet received the initial compensation for the current edition.
Under the event rules and regulations, the franchises will pay 50 percent of the compensation to the players before the start of the tournament, 25 percent in the middle of the event and the remaining 25 percent should be paid at the end of the tournament.
The issue of non-payment of compensation in the BPL has been there since the beginning, the Bangladesh Board paid the arrears of 2 franchises of the last edition on its own.
After the defeat in the first match against Brashall, Rajshahi captain Anam said that we have not received any compensation yet, but since the event has just started, we do not want to create complications by raising questions.
