A ban has been imposed on meeting prisoners in Adiala Jail for three days.
According to the prison sources, the meeting of the prisoners has been banned for 3 days, this decision has been taken in view of the security concerns around the prison.
The ban on meetings will continue till 12 midnight on May 15. The ban on meeting with prisoners was imposed after the decision of the IG Prisons.
The jail administration has also been directed to conduct searches in the jail premises, and to conduct emergency drills inside the jail to deal with any untoward incident.
On the other hand, the hearing on the 190 million pound scandal reference against PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi was adjourned till May 15 in the accountability court.
The case was heard in Adiala Jail by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana, on this occasion founder PTI and Bushra Bibi were present in the court room, NAB Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi appeared along with the team.
Founder PTI and Bushra Bibi’s lawyers Zaheer Abbas Chaudhary, Intizar Panjotha and Shoaib Shaheen and others appeared. On behalf of lawyers Safai, requests were filed for the medical examination of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi and a meeting with Saeeda Warsi.
The court approved the requests for physical examination and meeting Saeeda Warsi, the statements of 3 NAB witnesses were recorded and the cross-examination of 2 was completed.
A total of 30 witnesses’ statements in the 190 million pound scam reference were completed on record 19. Later, the hearing of the 190 million pound scam reference was adjourned until May 15.
