During the third T20 match against Ireland played in Dublin, Babar Azam played an innings of 75 runs from 42 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 6 fours, but he left behind Virat Kohli after completing 50 runs.
With 39 fifties in T20 international cricket, Babar Azam surpassed Kohli to achieve this milestone. Virat has come second with 38 fifties, while Rohit Sharma has scored 34, Mohammad Rizwan and David Warner have scored 27 and 27 fifties respectively.
Babar Azam also became the fourth batsman to score an overall fifty in the shortest format, joining David Warner, Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli.
