An army vehicle on patrol has been attacked on the occasion of Diwali in Akhor area of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Indian media, 3 unknown armed men surrounded an army vehicle and fired indiscriminately in the Akhor sector of Jammu.
The Indian Army claims that there was no loss of life or property in this incident, however, eyewitnesses said that ambulances were seen carrying dead bodies from the scene.
It should be remembered that at least 12 people, including 2 soldiers, were killed in various incidents in Occupied Kashmir during the last one week.
The statement of the Indian Army further said that a search operation was conducted in the area after the incident, during which a suspected assailant was killed in the encounter.
The Indian security forces claim that the exchange of fire is still going on with the 2 terrorists who escaped in the area.
Despite the step-by-step deployment of Indian Army and paramilitary forces in Occupied Kashmir, the Modi government has completely failed to maintain law and order in the valley.
