California: The Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC) organized by technology giant Apple is just a few days away and ahead of the event, news about a new app from the company is coming out.
According to the latest report, the company is going to introduce a new Passwords app at the event which will be sufficient to manage all passwords for iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, VisionOS and Windows devices.
The platform will be a separate platform from the existing iCloud chain used on Apple devices and will be a direct competitor to password services such as LastPass and 1Password.
The latest Bloomberg report states that Apple will offer different categories for passwords accounts, passkeys and Wi-Fi networks. The app will connect different devices and will have autofill and the ability to generate new passwords when signing up on the platform.
Apple Passwords reports that the app will offer authentication codes like Google Authenticator and the ability to import passwords from other password management platforms.
