President Asif Zardari has said that Pakistan has been fighting alone against terrorism for two decades. Pakistan is the only country in the world which has controlled the terrorist forces.
Paying tribute to all the victims of terrorism on the International Day of Victims of Terrorism, President Zardari said that he pays tribute to the brave personnel of the security forces and the people who sacrificed their lives.
He said that this day reminds of the suffering of the families who lost their loved ones at the hands of terrorist elements, Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the war against terrorism.
The President of the country says that we lost thousands of citizens and security personnel due to terrorism, Benazir Bhutto was also martyred by terrorists, our economy lost billions of dollars due to terrorism.
President Zardari said that the anti-Pakistan forces are secretly supporting and financing terrorism. International cooperation has to be strengthened to end terrorism, there is a need to increase intelligence sharing at the international level.
